A particularly well cast bronze wall mask using the lost wax technique. Many of these masks can be seen on the walls of the houses of the notables in Foumban (capital of the Bamoun). Some can reach very large sizes. They emphasize the wealth and rank of the lord of the house. There are two main types of heads: with birds. like this one, or with crocodiles.
