Painted metal Del Prado figure, labelled 'Officer, British 5th Dragoon Guards, 1812', 11.5 × 7.5 cm, weight about 300 g.

A painted metal model from the Del Prado collection, labelled on the base "Officer, British 5th Dragoon Guards, 1812" with the Del Prado logo. The mounted officer wears a red coat, bicorne with plume, sabre at the ready and sits on a well-modelled bay horse. The figure stands on its oval base and has the firm, hand-painted finish typical of the series. There is a small paint loss to the top of the plume, otherwise the colours remain bright and the fine details of the tack, saddlecloth and uniform are clear. The base label is intact and legible, which helps with identification. A neat piece for a cabinet of toy soldiers, a small military display or a study shelf, especially for anyone interested in Napoleonic cavalry modelling.
