Retro Shell-shaped clear resin display containing a whole taxidermy fish, assorted shells and a starfish, 23.5 x 17 cm, about 1.4 kg. Small chip to the top

A shell-shaped clear resin display, probably late 20th century. It measures about 23.5 x 17 cm and weighs roughly 1.4 kg. Set into the resin are a whole fish, several sea shells, a small red starfish and fragments of plant matter arranged over a gently rippled base. The top edge is scalloped and the resin shows an iridescent, colour-shifting effect. The piece is used, with surface scratches and scattered small scuffs consistent with age. There are a few tiny embedded bubbles and light white specks in the resin, plus a shallow chip to the upper left rim and a few small nicks to the lower edge. Suitable for a mantel, shelf or bathroom cabinet as a seaside accent, it will suit someone collecting marine curios or novelty resin pieces.
