An articulated metal figure of a medieval-style knight, probably mid 20th century, standing 22 cm high on a square metal base. The figure wears chased plate armour with decorative scrollwork, holds a long spear and retains a red felt skirt trimmed with a gilt braid. The base carries formed foot recesses that cradle the feet. The joints at shoulders, elbows and knees are articulated and the surface shows an even patina with light surface oxidation that suits display. The spear is slim and straight, and the chased decoration remains crisp across the cuirass and greaves. A compact, characterful piece for a mantel, bookshelf or a cabinet of military curios and reproductions, especially where a small stand-alone figure is wanted.
