A hollow painted wooden letter C, roughly 23 x 14 x 3 cm. The three-dimensional form has a rounded profile and three small metal hanging tabs fixed to the reverse, and it appears to be mid 20th century in character. The red paint shows rubbing, light flaking and areas of paler underlayer that give a textured, age-worn surface. The three fixing tabs remain fitted and show surface rust and corrosion; the metal body is intact with no splits or missing sections. A graphic typographic piece for a shelf, studio wall or shop display, it will suit anyone collecting vintage signage or looking for a bold initial for a mantel or gallery wall.
