A three-dimensional painted wooden letter E, roughly 24 x 14 x 3 cm. The front has a rounded, tubular profile with a flat rear panel and three fixed metal hanging loops, suggesting it was made for wall display. It appears to be mid 20th century in character. The red paint has worn areas and a gold-tone surface showing through in places, with flaking and small scuffs consistent with long display use. The three hanging loops remain fitted to the back and show verdigris and surface rust. The form is intact with no missing sections. A graphic single initial for a mantel, studio wall or shop display, it will suit anyone collecting vintage signage or looking for a bold letter as a shelfpiece or doorway sign.
