Small silver-plated travel desk clock by Kitney & Co, London, 10.5 x 8 cm, weight about 200 g. Rectangular frame with Roman dial, decorative rope motif and a fold-out velvet-covered stand.

A compact travel or desk clock, signed on the dial "KITNEY & CO LONDON" with the small "Made in England" mark beneath. The rectangular silver-plated frame carries a simple rope or tied-ribbon motif at the edges and a glass front protecting a Roman numeral dial and ornate blued-style hands. Runs well and keeps good time. The rear, circular plate fits well and is in good condition.Overall dimensions of the bare piece are 10.5 x 8 cm and the bare weight is about 200 g. The clock stands on a fold-out rear support covered in dark velvet, with a circular metal access plate set into the back. The glass and dial present well, and the silver plate retains a bright tone with expected age-related surface marks; the velvet rear is rubbed in places. A neat small piece for a dressing table, mantle or a collection of English travel clocks.
